First Aid Courses in Essex and Nationwide - Appointed Person in the Workplace

The One Day Appointed Person (Basic First Aid) course is designed to train individuals and company staff who require the appointed person training in basic first aid skills and require training in the management of specific illnesses and injuries. This course will provide first aid skills necessary to manage a patient that is not breathing normally, unconscious, bleeding, ill or injured prior to the arrival of the medical emergency services.

The One Day Appointed Person (Basic First Aid) course is designed to meet the recommendations of the HSE Health and Safety at Work (1981) Regulations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace. This course also meets the first aid requirements of the Department for Children, Schools and Families for First Aid in Schools.

There is a closed book written Examination which once completed will provide the candidate with the First Aid Qualification which is approved and valid for three years.
